
The “Besa Arena” stadium in Celopek has been inaugurated, an investment for the future of sports.
On July 25th , the village of Celopek in the Municipality of Brvenica experienced a historic moment with the inauguration of the new “Besa Arena” stadium. This ambitious project, which was built from the ground up within four hundred days of tireless work, is an example of the transformative power of community collaboration and social impact investments.
The realization of this stadium was possible thanks to the support of the Social Impact Investment in Communities (SIIC) project, funded by USAID North Macedonia and implemented by the Albiz Foundation. The initiative included the contribution of the local community, the diaspora, and the support of businesses, demonstrating the importance of broad involvement for projects with long-term impact.
“Besa Arena” is an important investment for the youth of Celopek and the surrounding areas, offering them a modern space for sports activities, football. This stadium will help promote an active lifestyle, strengthen a sense of cooperation, and create new opportunities for the development of young sports talent.
The opening ceremony was attended by Ms. Jeri Dible, USAID North Macedonia representative, who emphasized the importance of this investment and the positive impact of such projects on community development. Her participation confirmed the strong partnership between USAID and the Albiz Foundation, highlighting the success of the SIIC project in fostering local development.
With this new investment, Celopek is gaining an important sports center, which will positively impact future generations and empower the community through sports and recreational activities.
