
Promoting community change through research and advocacy
On June 7 and 8, 2024, in NB Hotel & Spa in the municipality of Brvenica, an important training on advocacy-based research for local stakeholders was held. This training aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct research that supports advocacy efforts and promotes positive change in their communities.
Brvenica, local government officials, community leaders, and representatives of non-governmental organizations and youth clubs participated in this event. During interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about the importance of cooperation between different actors to advocate for local issues.
The training aimed to empower participants to initiate and implement projects or activities that address community needs, through a data-driven approach. Participants left the training with a deeper understanding of the importance of advocacy-based research and its potential impact on the sustainable development of the Brvenica community.
