About the project

This program is part of the USAID Northern Macedonia Local Works Initiative, which aims to empower local actors to take the lead in identifying and addressing development challenges in their communities.

The goal of the project Social Impact Investments in Communities is to increase private sector investment that will result in a positive social impact and improve living standards for all citizens in four municipalities in the northwestern part of the country (Saraj, Zelino, Brvenica and Tearce).

This project helps businesses become recognizable drivers of local-led initiative development, working with local citizens, civil society organizations, municipal authorities and other stakeholders to generate ideas, develop projects and mobilize resources for their implementation.

By introducing and improving the Albize Foundation's existing corporate social responsibility model, the project aims to establish effective, sustainable mechanisms for solving community problems. A special focus is placed on promoting the active participation of young people, women and other vulnerable categories of citizens to prepare projects that will meet their specific needs.
