Fruitful discussions about community development with Dawn Carmin, USAID North Macedonia
On July 17, 2024, our team had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Dawn Carmin, General Development Officer at USAID North Macedonia, to our offices. She came together with the Program Budget Analyst at USAID North Macedonia and Mr. Kreshnik Grubi, AOR of our project. This meeting provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the implemented and planned initiatives in the municipalities of Saraj, Brvenica, Tearce, and Zhelino, through the Social Impact Investments in Communities (SIIC), funded by USAID.
Ms. Carmin expressed a particular interest in the impact of our projects on these communities, requesting a detailed overview of the activities we conduct. We presented various key projects that are currently underway, including the development of secondary water supply networks, the renovation of primary school infrastructure, the construction of recreational parks and sports stadiums, and the creation of inclusive spaces for children with autism.
In separate discussions, Ms. Carmin shared valuable recommendations for improving and expanding the impact of these projects, emphasizing the need for sustainable development and community involvement at every stage of project implementation. She underscored the importance of leveraging USAID expertise to maximize the effectiveness of initiatives.
Through this meeting, Ms. Carmin reaffirmed USAID’s commitment to supporting sustainable and inclusive development initiatives in North Macedonia. She expressed great appreciation for the progress of the projects to date and was optimistic about the continued fruitful collaboration between USAID and our team.
We see this meeting as an excellent opportunity to deepen cooperation and continue working together to bring positive and sustainable changes in the municipalities of Saraj, Brvenica, Tearce, and Zhelino.
