Training to strengthen the capacities of local actors
On May 31 and June 1, 2024, an important training session focused on advocacy-based research for local stakeholders was held at the Albiz Foundation. This training aimed at empowering participants with knowledge and skills that will enable them to conduct valuable research that supports advocacy efforts and drives positive change in their communities.
This training was attended by representatives from the municipality of Saraj, local government officials, community leaders, and representatives of NGOs and youth clubs. Participants had the opportunity to benefit from interactive sessions and practical exercises, where they learned about the importance of cooperation between different actors, both formal and informal, in advocating for local issues. The training was conducted to empower them to undertake and implement projects that address community needs, through a data-based and evidence-based approach.
Upon completion of the training, participants emerged with a deeper understanding of the importance of advocacy research and the opportunities this type of research offers to drive development initiatives in their communities. This session was another step forward in strengthening the capacities of local actors for sustainable development and improving living conditions.
