On June 7 and 14, 2024, our team organized two important meetings in the municipalities of Zhelino and Brvenica, with a special focus on supporting and empowering women. These meetings brought together citizens from different fields, creating a space for women to discuss the opportunities and challenges they face in their daily lives, while also proposing initiatives to improve their position, both in the business and private sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting in Zhelino took place at the municipal premises and brought together women from various fields, including local leaders, entrepreneurs, and community activists. Discussions focused on the barriers women face in entrepreneurship, the lack of representation in leadership positions, and limited access to resources and support networks. Participants shared their experiences and identified key areas where immediate interventions are necessary to improve women\u2019s opportunities and roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A week later, the meeting in Brvenica enriched this dialogue, providing the opportunity to broaden the discussion and include a wider range of participants, focusing on women educators, health professionals, and young entrepreneurs. During the meeting, guest speakers shared their experiences and offered practical advice on overcoming obstacles and using existing resources to develop new opportunities for women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result of these meetings, several important initiatives aimed at empowering women and supporting their professional and social development were proposed. These include the creation of mentoring programs, the formation of networks of women-led businesses, the organization of regular forums on gender issues, and the development of an awareness-raising initiative to educate the community about the benefits of gender equality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We remain committed to supporting these initiatives and collaborating closely with the women of Zhelino and Brvenica to realize these ideas.
